KILLEEN, TX – An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old died on Monday morning in Killeen after their vehicle overturned along the interstate, reports 6 News Digital.
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-14, just west of Central Texas College and east of Montague Village.
The investigation thus far indicates that the driver of an eastbound gray 2006 Dodge Ram lost control of the vehicle and left the interstate near mile marker 278. The vehicle overturned, ejecting the two unrestrained teen occupants.
Both teens died in the accident. Authorities identified the driver as 18-year-old Nakoda Cheyenne Layton. They have not released the name of the 17-year-old victim.
A full investigation is underway.
