AUSTIN, TX – Crews responded to an accident Thursday afternoon along the southbound Mopac service road near downtown Austin, reports Total Traffic Austin.

The incident happened before 3:35 p.m. near the Colorado River between Rollingwood Drive and West Cesar Chavez Street.
Police haven’t yet shared any circumstances regarding the accident. It’s unclear how many vehicles were involved and if anyone sustained injuries.
Officials closed both the southbound frontage road as well as the on-ramp from Lake Austin Boulevard while crews worked to clear the scene.
