AUSTIN, TX – The Austin Police Department reported that a semi-truck and a pickup truck were involved in a deadly collision in east Austin on Monday morning.
The incident happened at the intersection of Ed Bluestein Boulevard and Loyola Lane at about 11:20 a.m. According to police, a Freightliner semi and a Nissan pickup truck crashed, killing the man driving the Nissan. His identity was not released. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
Police are investigating the accident, and anyone with information was asked to contact vehicular homicide unit detectives with the Austin Police Department.
KXAN reported it was the third crash in that area within a three day period.
