TRAVIS CO., TX – One person died Monday afternoon after their vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler along a highway southeast of Austin.
According to KXAN, the incident happened just after 4 p.m. in the area of US-183 and Evelyn Road, which is just south of the junction with TX-45 and north of TX-21.
Police have not shared many details about the accident. They say that the vehicle became pinned by the semi-truck and that an occupant from the vehicle died at the scene after attempts at resuscitation failed.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim. No other injuries have been reported in connection to the crash.
A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
