AUSTIN, TX – At least eight people were injured in a crash involving a Capital Metro bus in downtown Austin Sunday afternoon.
According to KXAN, the crash happened between a transit bus and another vehicle at I-35 northbound service road and East 11th Street.
A Capital Metro spokesperson said that a video recording from the bus captured the other driver running a red light which led up to the crash.
At least eight people were injured in the crash. Two children were transported to Dell Children’s Medical Center in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. Three adults sustained serious injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
