LOCKHART, TX – A two-car collision involving a brush truck from the Maxwell Community Volunteer Fire Department killed two brothers in Lockhart on Monday, KVUE reports.

Investigators say the crash happened around 1:45 p.m. on FM 20, or State Park Road, near San Jacinto Street. The brush truck was travelling on FM 20 and struck another vehicle that had turned onto FM 20 from San Jacinto Street.

The impact caused the truck to overturn, killing the sibling firefighters.

The woman driving the other vehicle received only minor injuries in the accident.

The fatal crash remains under investigation.
