KILLEEN, TX – A single-vehicle crash along the interstate in central Killeen seriously injured two people on Wednesday, reports KCEN 6 News.
The accident happened along the westbound entrance ramp to I-14 from the East Central Expressway between Trimmier Road and West South Young Drive.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a Toyota sedan lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway, and overturned.
The impact of the crash threw both the driver and her female passenger from the vehicle.
Medics airlifted one of the passengers to a Temple hospital with critical injuries. The other woman, who was also critically injured, went to the hospital via ambulance.
Authorities say the driver was likely speeding when the wreck occurred.
A full investigation is underway.
