AUSTIN, TX – One person was hurt Wednesday when a vehicle overturned along the interstate in far south Austin, reports CBS Austin.
The incident happened before 4:30 p.m. on the southbound frontage road for I-35 near National Park Boulevard. This is in the Southpark Meadows area.
Police say that only one vehicle was involved in the accident and that the driver required extrication after becoming trapped in the wreckage. It’s not yet clear what caused the crash.
Medics transported the patient to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Drivers experienced delays on the southbound frontage road while crews performed rescue efforts and worked to clear the scene.
