KILLEEN, TX – A 20-year-old man died Monday from injuries sustained when a vehicle struck him along a major Killeen roadway a day prior, reports KWTX 10.
The incident happened Sunday around 4:15 a.m. near the intersection of South Fort Hood Road and Elms Road. This is northeast of Texas A&M University Central Campus.
Police say a northbound Chevy SUV hit a pedestrian as he walked eastbound across South Fort Hood Road.
The pedestrian died the next day at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Authorities identified him as Rontario Simmons.
No other injuries have been reported in connection to the crash.
