CALDWELL CO., TX – A high school student from Prairie Lea died on Sunday from injuries sustained in a car accident near Luling, reports KXAN.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Stairwell Loop, which runs parallel to and west of the San Marcos Highway, just south of Prairie Lea.
Police say that four Prairie Lea students were riding in a Chevrolet Equinox when the accident occurred. The force of the collision threw one of the teens from the vehicle, and he died after being airlifted to a hospital in Hays County.
The other three teens sustained only minor injuries.
No other vehicles have been mentioned in connection to the collision, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
