AUSTIN, TX — Three people were injured Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle rollover collision near west Austin’s Alexan Mountain View area, according to CBS Austin.
The accident took place at the intersection of Old Bee Caves Road and Thomas Springs Road at approximately 8:26 p.m.
Austin-Travis County EMS arrived at the scene to find one vehicle flipped over and one victim pinned inside a vehicle, requiring a rescue extrication.
After their safe removal from the vehicle, the victim was transported by airlift to South Austin Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Medics took another victim by ground ambulance to South Austin Medical Center with potentially serious injuries.
A third victim sustained minor injuries but declined transport to a hospital.
The event caused delays in the area as crews worked the scene.
