TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — Three people were seriously injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 812 in Del Valle, reports CBS Austin.
Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the scene at 13903 FM 812 Road at around 9:21 a.m.
Medics had to extricate two people, including one person who was briefly trapped in their vehicle.
One victim was declared a “trauma alert” and was rushed to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with possibly life-threatening injuries.
ATCEMS indicated a third victim was transported with the second victim to a nearby hospital. Both were said to have suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The event caused FM 812 east of Elroy Road to remain closed as crews worked to clear a fluid spill. Motorists were asked to avoid the area.
