AUSTIN, TX – One person died, and another person went to the hospital after two cars collided along a roadway in northeast Austin Sunday night, reports KXAN.

Police say the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. in the area of 1015 East Yager Lane, which is just southeast of the Yager entrance to the Copperfield Nature Trails.

It’s still unclear how the collision happened, but authorities say one person became pinned and died at the scene after medics attempted CPR.

Medics transported a second person to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
