WIMBERLEY, TX – Two people died in a car crash on Ranch Road 12 north of Wimberley Saturday, Jan, 22.

A driver in a 2011 Toyota Tundra traveling south on Ranch Road 12 momentarily swerved off the roadway. When they re-entered, the driver crossed double yellow lines into the path of a 1997 Suzuki Sidekick, reports The Wimberley View. The Toyota struck the Suzuki head-on, killing both the driver and passenger.

The victims have been identified as Austin residents Trey Lentschke, 26, and Amelia Ybarra, 31.

The Toyota driver’s identity or condition has not been released. It is unknown what caused the accident at this time.
