AUSTIN, TX — Two people were hospitalized Thursday evening after a serious two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 183 in north Austin, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
ATCEMS and Travis County Fire and Rescue crews responded to the scene on the 13000 block of US-183 northbound shortly before 6:25 p.m.
Crews had to extricate two people who were trapped in their vehicles, and both victims were declared “trauma alerts” upon removal.
One adult victim was transported by ATCEMS to South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries.
The other adult victim also suffered serious injuries and was transported by airlift to Dell Seton Medical Center.
