AUSTIN, TX – Two people were hospitalized Thursday with serious injuries after their vehicle struck a north Austin building.

According to KVUE, the incident happened around 1:15 p.m. along the southbound service road for Research Boulevard, just southeast of Burnet Road and near Pinballz Arcade.

Police are still investigating what might have caused the driver of a white truck to leave the roadway and crash into a building.

Medics at the scene extricated both occupants of the vehicle, one of whom was unconscious at the time of rescue. Both patients went to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
