AUSTIN, TX – A collision involving two vehicles killed three people along FM 973 on the far east side of Austin on Saturday, reports KXAN.
The incident happened around 2:25 a.m. near the intersection of FM 973 and Platt Lane, which is just north of Tesla Road and northeast of Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
Police haven’t yet specified the cause or circumstances of crash. They say that three people died at the scene. Their names have not been released to the public.
One person sustained critical injuries and went to the hospital via air ambulance. Medics transported three others via ground ambulance.
