DEL VALLE, TX – Three people were seriously injured, and another person reported minor injuries after a car and truck collided on a Del Valle roadway Sunday.

According to Fox 7 Austin, the incident happened just before 6 p.m. on Pearce Lane just east of Kellam Road, which is just southwest of Alligator Habitat and northwest of The Motocross Park.

The cause of the crash is still unclear. Police that a pickup truck caught fire after colliding with a car on Pearce Lane.

Crews worked to extricate the victims, one of whom sustained life-threatening injuries and required air transport to Dell Seton.

Medics transported three more people to the hospital by ambulance, two of whom sustained serious injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
