AUSTIN, TX – Police have identified the victim of a deadly motorcycle crash that took place in southeast Austin on Sunday afternoon.
According to KXAN, the crash occurred near the intersection of South Pleasant Valley Road and East William Cannon Drive at about 4:45 p.m.
Despite life-saving measures by paramedics, 46-year-old Shane Donaway was pronounced dead at the scene.
The APD has declared the recent crash as the 67th fatal incident of 2023, bringing the total number of fatalities on Austin roads 70 this year. This statistic contrasts with the figures reported on September 24, 2022, when APD documented 76 fatal crashes that led to 78 deaths.
