DEL VALLE, TX – APD responded to a fatality accident involving a CapMetro bus and a passenger vehicle in Del Valle on Monday.
According to Fox 7 Austin, the crash happened just after 9:30 a.m. in the area of westbound SH-71 near Del Valle Street, which is at the northeast end of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
The investigation indicates that a westbound car crashed into the rear of a CapMetro bus, which was stopped at a bus stop.
One person died from injuries sustained in the accident, and four people were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Authorities have not yet publicly identified the victim.
The investigation is ongoing.
