AUSTIN, TX – One person suffered critical injuries on Saturday night when a vehicle struck them along a busy roadway just north of the river, reports KXAN.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. in the area of 100 North Lamar Boulevard, which is just north of West Cesar Chavez Street and Ladybird Lake.

Police have not shared any details regarding the accident except to say that the pedestrian went to Dell-Seton with life-threatening injuries.

It’s unclear at this time if the vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
