AUSTIN, TX – A cyclist went to the hospital with serious injuries Saturday evening after a vehicle struck them in north Austin, reports KXAN.
The incident happened around 5:22 p.m. on the northbound side of the service road for I-35 at East Rundberg Lane. This is just northwest of Gutavo L. Garcia District Park.
Police haven’t yet shared any details about the cause of the accident, nor have they released the identities of either of the parties involved.
Medics transported the cyclist in critical condition to Dell Seton Medical Center.
It’s unclear if the vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene to render aid and speak with officials.
