AUSTIN, TX – A cyclist was hurt late Wednesday morning when a vehicle struck them along a south Austin roadway, reports ATCEMS.

The accident happened at 11:44 a.m. on Barton Hills Drive near the intersection with Wilke Drive, which is just northeast of Barton Hills Elementary School.
Police haven’t yet shared any details regarding the circumstances of the crash and what might have caused the collision. Additionally, it’s unclear if the driver involved in the crash stopped to render aid and speak with authorities.
Medics transported the cyclist to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries.
