AUSTIN, TX – One person died Sunday morning in north Austin after a vehicle struck them near the service road to the interstate, reports Fox 7 Austin.
Emergency teams responded to the incident just after 5 a.m. in the area of East Braker Lane and the northbound service road for I-35. This is in the North Oaks area, west of the Walnut Creek Greenbelt.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, who they say died at the scene, nor have they clarified whether the vehicle involved in the crash remained on site.
Officials encouraged motorists to expect delays in the area and to consider alternate routes.
