AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian died early Monday morning after a vehicle struck them along the interstate in east-central Austin.
According to Fox 7 Austin, the incident happened sometime before 6:03 a.m. Monday on the northbound side of I-35 between US-290 and St. John’s Avenue, which is just southwest of US-183.
The investigation thus far indicates that more than one vehicle may have struck the pedestrian, though only one driver remained at the scene to speak to police.
Police have not yet released the name of the victim to the public.
Authorities closed the northbound lanes of I-35 in the vicinity of the crash while crews investigated and cleared the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
