AUSTIN, TX – Two people on scooters were seriously injured Sunday when a vehicle struck them at a busy East-Austin intersection.
According to CBS Austin, the incident happened around 11:15 p.m. at the intersection of Comal Street and East 6th Street, which is just northeast of Plaza Saltillo Station.
Police say that one of the two scooter riders sustained life-threatening injuries. Medics transported both people to Dell Seton for treatment.
Authorities have not yet released any information about the driver involved in the accident. At this time, it’s unclear if the driver stopped to render aid and speak to authorities.
