AUSTIN, TX – Authorities have released the identity of a man who died earlier this month in a head-on crash along SH-71.
Austin K. Buckley, 27, died when a westbound SUV veered over into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with his eastbound SUV.
The collision occurred at 4:44 a.m. on October 5th on SH-71 just north of Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
Police identified the wrong-way driver as 44-year-old Ruben Ysasi. They say a third vehicle struck the rear of Buckley’s car after the initial crash.
Ysasi was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
The investigation is ongoing.
