AUSTIN, TX – A woman died last weekend a day after a hit-and-run vehicle struck her along a northwest Austin roadway, reports KVUE.

The incident occurred shortly before 3 a.m. Friday on Pond Springs Road just south of Hunters Chase Drive. This is just east of US-183 and north of McNeil.

Police say that the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident did not stop to render aid or speak with officials.

Medics transported the pedestrian, identified as Beth Wynne, to an area hospital. Wynne died the following day in the hospital.
