AUSTIN, TX – A two-vehicle collision resulted in serious injuries on Monday evening in southeast Austin, reports ATCEMS.

The crash occurred at 6:11 p.m. at the intersection of East Riverside Drive and Montopolis Drive, which is just northwest of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in the Montopolis neighborhood.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident and the manner in which the two vehicles impacted.
Officials tell us that two people were involved. One person went to Dell Seton Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. It’s unclear if the second person sustained injuries; emergency crews say that they declined hospitalization.
