TEMPLE, TX – A 27-year-old man died early Monday after a solo crash along a major roadway in far-west Temple, reports KWTX 10.

The incident happened around 12:11 a.m. on West Adams Avenue near Cypress Springs Drive. This is west of TX-317 and east of Morgan’s Point Road.

Police say the victim was likely speeding when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, and crashed into both a fence and a tree.

Authorities pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. They identified him as Oscar Aquino.
