AUSTIN, TX – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident Wednesday afternoon in Westlake, reports KXAN.

The incident happened sometime around noon near Westlake Drive and Trailview Mesa Drive, which is just west of the Colorado River near the Lakeshore Addition.

APD hasn’t yet released the details of the accident except to say that medics attempted CPR on an adult victim at the scene. Despite these efforts, the patient died from injuries sustained in the accident.

Authorities haven’t specified whether the driver remained at the scene to render aid and speak with law enforcement, nor have they released the name of the deceased.
