AUSTIN, TX – One woman died and another woman is currently hospitalized after a rollover crash this morning in Northwest Austin. According to KXAN, Austin Police responded to the single-vehicle crash at around 1:45 a.m. on Spicewood Springs Road near St. Edwards Park. The driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed it into a tree, which spun it around into the opposite side of the road.

Both women were ejected from the vehicle. Emergency responders declared the passenger dead at the scene of the accident. The driver was transported to St. David’s Round Rock for treatment of potentially serious injuries.

The Department of Public Safety is currently investigating the situation.
