AUSTIN, TX – A three-vehicle crash occurred on Sunday morning in Southeast Austin. The Travis Country Sheriff’s Department received an alert about the accident on FM 812, west of Highway 130, at around 10:40 a.m. A Freightliner semi-truck made a wide turn and crashed into a 2015 black Kia and a 2018 white Manac-brand trailer. Police say that both the semi-truck driver and driver of the 2015 Kia were at fault in the collision.
The semi-truck suffered damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle. It’s unclear if the other vehicles involved suffered any damage.
A 35-year-old passenger in the Kia was injured in the accident, but no other injuries are being reported at this time.
