AUSTIN, TX – According to KXAN, a suspect has been arrested for intoxication manslaughter following a fatal 6-vehicle crash.
The accident took place on southbound I-35 near William Cannon Drive. On Sunday night, at around 11:30 p.m., the suspect reportedly ran a red light and was struck by another vehicle. Six vehicles were involved in the accident, including a semi-truck.
One person died in the accident. It is unclear how many people were injured in the crash. At least one victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition following the accident.
The suspect, 39-year-old Amber Thompson, is currently in the Travis County Jail.
